The Texas Society of Addiction Medicine (TXSAM) presents “Children… Where Addiction Begins” with Dr. Kurt C. Kleinschmidt, a leading expert in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Kleinschmidt is a Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Medical Director of the Perinatal Intervention Program at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He will draw on his decades of experience in substance use disorders, toxicology, and perinatal care to discuss the role of childhood in the development of Addiction.
